「あなたが見る窓の向こうには、どんな世界が広がっていますか？

ときどき私は、あなたが見ている景色に思いを馳せてそっと目を閉じます。

想像してみるのです、その世界がどんな色や形をしているのか。
そこからあなたの孤独、希望、空虚、幸福、絶望なんかを。
そして想像しながら、あなたの痛みを感じようとする自分がいます。

薄い皮膚から他人の痛みが染み込んでくるとき、
それが“あなたの痛み”なのか、“私の痛み”なのか、わからなくなることがあります。

誰かの痛みが、自分の皮膚の下に入り込み、
私の皮膚をやわらかく押し広げ、じわじわと浸透し、気がつけば自分という形が輪郭を失い、霞んでゆくのです。

私の見る景色とあなたの目に映る世界は、どう足掻いても交わることなく、
そのことをはがゆく思いながらも、ただ静かな空白だけが心に降り積もります。

嵌め殺しの窓に映る歪んだ景色は全ての境界線を曖昧にし、開くことのないまま、私に同じ景色を見せ続けます。

私はその歪な窓から自分にだけ見える世界を、ひとりきりで眺めています。」

◉About the “Fixed Window-series”

What kind of world lies beyond the window you see?

Sometimes, I quietly close my eyes and let my thoughts drift toward the scenery reflected in your gaze.

I imagine the colors and shapes of that world,
and from there, your solitude, hope, emptiness, happiness, and despair.
As I imagine, I find myself trying to feel your pain.

When another person’s pain seeps through my thin skin,
there are moments when I can no longer tell whether it belongs to you or to me.

Someone’s pain slips beneath my skin,
gently widening it, slowly permeating,
until before I realize it, the outline of myself begins to blur and fade.

The landscape I see and the world reflected in your eyes will never meet, no matter how I struggle.
Feeling the frustration of this truth, only a quiet emptiness continues to fall softly into my heart.

The distorted view reflected in the fixed window blurs every boundary,
and without ever opening, it keeps showing me the same scenery.

From that warped window, I gaze alone at a world visible only to me.
